Hello everyone!  We’re excited to see you this year at the Sevier Showdown.  We just wanted to send out some information about the event.

 

Be sure to call for a room at one of our host hotels as soon as possible, as they’ve filled up in years past. There are other hotels available in town, but we have special group rates at the Quality Inn (540 S. Main, Richfield, UT 84701 435-896-5465) and Holiday Inn Express (20 W. 1400 N., Richfield, UT 84701 435-896-8552). Mention the Sevier Showdown to receive that reduced rate.

When you check in bulls, there are two ways to enter the fairgrounds; for regular vehicles and shorter trailers, turn east off Main Street on 400 South and enter across the racetrack on the south side.  For longer trailers (there’s a decent bump on the south side), turn east off Main on 100 South and cross the racetrack from the north side on 500 East (map below).  If you’re coming on Friday, try to get here as early as possible so you have time to settle in and go eat before the contractor party that night.

We’ll start the Meet & Greet at 7 pm on Friday the 26th in Max & Danielle’s backyard (140 W. 600 S.). Poker will start at 7:30, and the Calcutta will get going at 8:30.  It will be kid-friendly, so feel free to bring your families.

Saturday morning, only the south entrance to the fairgrounds will be open.  The yearlings and 2-year old event starts at 9:00 am.  3-year olds, 4-year olds and maturity bulls will be that evening starting at 5:00 pm. We will have pictures available for download or purchase as in years past.
